Anangsha Biswas Early Life Full Story
As we all know Anangsha Biswas has been making headlines recently for Mirzapur. However her journey to reach this point was far from easy. Let us take a look at her struggles and the beginning of her career.
Anangsha Biswas was born into a Hindu upper-middle-class family. In an interview she revealed that she was not particularly academically inclined during her school days. From childhood she had an interest in acting Kathak and classical music; consequently she actively participated in school plays and consistently worked on honing her acting skills.
Even during her college days she did not step away from acting and dance; she participated in various cultural events and acting competitions. It was during this time that she took part in an acting talent hunt reality show. She succeeded in winning the Kolkata round which gave her the opportunity to visit Mumbai for the first time.
She arrived in Mumbai with dreams of acting but luck was not on her side at the time. She was eliminated in the very second round of the show forcing her to return to Kolkata in disappointment. Although she remained disheartened for a long time after coming back from Mumbai she did not give up.
A few months later she decided to go to Mumbai again. However her parents were not at all happy with this decision. They wanted Anangsha to take up a secure private-sector job instead of pursuing acting but she had only one dreamto become a successful actress. Ultimately she decided to move to Mumbai regardless of what anyone thought.
Upon arriving in Mumbai she chose the path of theatre rather than going straight for auditions believing that mastering the nuances of acting was essential to becoming a skilled actor. After years of learning and hard work in theatre she joined Mumbai’s renowned Akvarious Theatre. There she began performing regularly and had the opportunity to work with and learn from seasoned artists such as Naseeruddin Shah Benjamin Gilani Shefali Shah Akash Khurana and Harsh Chhaya. Her work in theatre gradually began to garner significant acclaim.
Subsequently in 2007 she landed a small role in the film Khoya Khoya Chand. This film marked her entry into the film industry. However even after this project she felt there was significant room for improvement in her acting. Consequently without wasting any time she decided to go to Sydney Australia.
She underwent professional acting training at The Australian Film & Television Academy (TAFTA) in Australia. After completing her training she returned to Mumbai with renewed enthusiasm and confidence. Subsequently she began working consistently on films short films and auditions. Initially she landed small roles in projects such as Rann (2010) Benny and Babloo (2010) Andheri (short film) and Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana (2012).
Although these films did not bring her much recognition she did not stop working hard. Finally in 2020 the biggest opportunity of her life arrived she was cast as Zareena in Mirzapur Season 2. Audiences greatly appreciated her powerful performance and this marked a massive surge in her popularity.
Following the success of Mirzapur Season 2 he began receiving a steady stream of offers for OTT projects. Subsequently he worked on projects such as Hostages Season 2 (2020) Bastar The Naxal Story (2024) Mirzapur Season 3 (2024) Khwaabon Ka Jhamela (2024) and Mirzapur The Movie (2026).
