Rajat Bedi’s career has been quite interesting and challenging. He was born into a rich family. Rajat Bedi father name is Narendra Bedi was a film director-producer and his grandfather Rajinder Singh Bedi was a famous Urdu writer and director. When Rajat was just 12 years old his father passed away and he was still very young. From the beginning Rajat was interested in working in the film industry.
After completing his school and college education Rajat started his career in modeling. In 1994 he won the Gladrags Manhunt contest. Later under his mother’s encouragement he worked as an assistant director with Ramesh Sippy in 1995 on the movie “Zaamana Deewana” which starred Shahrukh Khan. Unfortunately the movie flopped and Rajat did not find much success there either.
Feeling disappointed Rajat decided that he wanted to work in front of the camera not behind it. He started working hard for it and participated in many fashion shows. In 1998 he got an acting role in the movie “2001” a crime thriller starring Jackie Shroff and Tabu. The movie wasn’t very successful but Rajat didn’t give up.
