Roshni Walia has been trending significantly on social media lately. So let’s take a look at the beautiful journey that led to her popularity. Roshni Walia was born into a middle-class Sikh family. She did not have any particular interest in acting while growing up. You might be wondering: if she wasn’t keen on acting how did she end up in the industry? The answer is fate.

This story dates back to the time when Roshni and her family were visiting Mumbai for a holiday. Coincidentally auditions were being held for an advertisement for a product called ‘Nutree’s Nuggets’. Roshni’s parents decided to have their daughter try out for the audition. At that time Roshni was around seven or eight years old.

Roshni participated in that audition and won it. She subsequently received her first cheque for the advertisement amounting to approximately ₹7000. It can be said that Roshni Walia’s career began at a very young age. Following this she started receiving offers for numerous advertisements and would travel by train to Mumbai to shoot for them.

Inspired by the acting she saw in advertisements Roshni auditioned in 2012 for the Life OK channel show Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki. This was her first television acting audition and she succeeded in it. In the series she played the character of a girl named Jiyana.

After landing a role in this show Roshni moved with her entire family to the Gandharva Darshan Apartments in Kandivali Mumbai. However she learned a great deal from this debut show and it was also successful to some extent.

Just a few months later in 2012 she worked in the film My Friend Ganesha 4 playing the character of Lucky. Following this Roshni began receiving continuous offers for films and television shows.In 2013 she worked in Ringa Ringa Roses playing the role of a young girl named Maitri. Additionally she appeared in the popular show Balika Vadhu where she played the childhood version of the character Ganga.

However none of these earlier projects brought her the same level of recognition as the role of Ajabde in the 2014 show Bharat Ka Veer Putra  Maharana Pratap. At the time it was one of the most popular shows on television. Following this show Roshni’s fan base grew rapidly and she became a household name. After this Roshni continued to get work consistently. Following Maharana Pratap she worked in Season 3 of Channel V’s crime drama show Gumrah: End of Innocence in which she played the character of Aarohi.

Apart from this she worked on several other projects including Yeh Vaada Raha the role of Guddi in Machhli Jal Ki Rani Hai (2014) Benazir Kaif in Gangs of Littles (2016) and Nimmo in Firangi (2017).

In 2018 Roshni appeared in the web series Zero KMS playing the character of Alia. Subsequently in 2019 she landed a pivotal role in Tara From Satara.

After working on so many consecutive projects Roshni began to feel a bit overwhelmed and decided to take a break from the industry for a while. 

A few years later in 2024 she appeared in the web series Naam Namak Nishan playing the character of Niya. Recently she garnered significant attention for the film Son of Sardaar 2 in which she played the role of Saba Akhtar. She appeared alongside actor Ajay Devgn in this film.
