As we all know Isha Talwar is immensely popular on social media for her beauty. However her popularity received its biggest boost from the web series Mirzapur. But before that let us take a closer look at her life’s journey.

Isha Talwar has had a passion for dance since childhood. She consistently participated in dance performances during her school days a practice that continued into her college years. It was during her college studies that she also ventured into modeling and worked on various projects both small and large.

To further hone her dancing skills Isha Talwar enrolled at the Terence Lewis Dance Institute where she underwent professional dance training for several years. During this time she practiced for hours every day while also participating in numerous auditions—sometimes attending as many as six or seven in a single day. While many people give up after just one or two auditions Isha persisted in her efforts. Although she faced disappointment on several occasions during the early days she never gave up.

One day Yahoo organized an audition as the company was looking for a dancer. Isha Talwar participated in the audition and was selected thanks to her brilliant dancing.

After being selected she arrived for the Yahoo advertisement shoot and felt quite nervous upon seeing the atmosphere there. It was the first major advertisement of her life and she was still in college at the time. After working on this advertisement she decided to pursue a career in the world of acting.

After some time she got the opportunity to work in an advertisement for a major company like Reebok. She was delighted and excited to have the chance to work consistently with big brands. Subsequently she worked in advertisements for several years and established her own identity.

After finding success in advertisements she received an offer for the Malayalam film Thattathin Marayathu in 2012. This was her first Malayalam film. While she was overjoyed to receive the offer one concern kept troubling her: she neither spoke nor understood Malayalam at all. Although her mother tongue is Punjabi she decided not to let this major opportunity slip away.

She traveled from Mumbai to Kerala for the film’s shoot. Initially she faced some challenges due to the language and the environment but within about three to four months she had learned a great deal. This marked the true beginning of her acting career.

Subsequently Isha Talwar delivered several successful films to the Malayalam film industry including I Love Me (2012) Bangalore Days (2014) Balyakalasakhi (2014) God’s Own Country (2014) Bhaskar the Rascal (2015) Two Countries (2015) and Ranam (2018).

However Isha also dreamed of working in Bollywood. In 2018 she received an offer for the film Kaalakaandi. It was one of her early major Bollywood films giving her the opportunity to work alongside the renowned actor Saif Ali Khan. Although the film did not succeed at the box office—leaving her somewhat disappointed—it was a significant project for her.

However her acting prowess caught the attention of several producers. Subsequently she got the opportunity to work in Article 15 (2019). The film proved to be a massive hit and it can be said that it played a significant role in further boosting her popularity.

Subsequently she got the opportunity to work in Mirzapur one of India’s most talked-about web series. She played the character of Madhuri Yadav Tripathi in the show. Mirzapur has been one of the country’s most popular and widely watched web series and her character was well-received by the audience. Several of her videos and reels went viral on social media and it was through this role that she became famous as Madhuri Bhabhi.

Before Mirzapur Isha Talwar had primarily appeared in South Indian films and a few Hindi movies but the character of Madhuri earned her nationwide recognition and elevated her popularity to a whole new level.

After Mirzapur Isha Talwar worked in several films and web series including Sharmaji Namkeen (2022) Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo (2023) Chamak (2023–2025) Indian Police Force (2024) Ella (2024) and Kaushaljis vs Kaushal (2025).

Recently he was also seen in the MX Player web series Vimal Khanna. However it would not be wrong to say that he has not received the same level of recognition and popularity from any other project as he did from Mirzapur.
